Local Attractions

Stonehaven has many attractions in the town and the surrounding areas of The Mearns and Angus and Aberdeen City and Shire including Royal Deeside.

The iconic Dunnottar Casle just two miles from the Queens Hotel attracts thousands of visitors every year.

The woodland of Dunnottar Woods is a popular haunt for walkers and of course the picturesque harbour is well worth seeing.The historic Tolbooth Museum, provides a fascinating insight to Stonehaven as it was many years ago and Boat Trips are available in the summer.

At the North end of Stonehaven you will find the Stonehaven Golf Club with it's dramatic clifftop views, The Open Air Pool and Leisure Centre.

There is a Playpark and Skateboard area next to the Leisure Centre which is very popular with families.

Fettercairn Distillery is only 20 mile from Stonehaven and there you will find a Visitors centre where you can sample the whisky.
